1.  All Xzacta Hair Cutting  Shears currently offered are 440C Stainless Steel with Cobalt & Molybdenum.  I quote from the following link, http://www.azom.com/details.asp?ArticleID=1024 , "Grade 440C is capable of attaining, after heat treatment, the highest strength, hardness and wear resistance of all the stainless alloys."  The factory has guaranteed us a Rockwell Hardness of a minimum of 58 after finishing and sharpening.  So, the Rockwell is going to probably be 58-59, and in a few cases possibly 60....TRULY  HIGH QUALITY PROFESSIONAL HAIR CUTTING SCISSORS & SHEARS.   We consider this ideal.  It is hard enough to hold the edge on the pair of scissors very well, but not so hard that the scissors  would chip out if dropped.  We actually took one pair of shears and deliberately dropped and threw  them more than 50 times!  The last time these high quality hair cutting  scissors  were deliberately dropped on the tips from about chest high on concrete outside a salon. We then easily sharpened the "pair of scissors" as they had  very slight nicks and just a little bit of bluntness on the tip.  After scissor sharpening, we then cut thru a manila file folder about a hundred times.  Then….to much surprise….they passed the wet neck strip test.  I was not expecting them to pass the test!  This was truly impressive, even more than the scissor metal analysis and scissors Rockwell testing that we do occasionally to make sure we are providing you with what we say.

2.     All of our professional salon quality hair cutting  shears are inspected twice at the factory for defects and sharpness.  Then the high  quality professional hair cutting scissors are personally and very carefully  inspected by me, Ryan Parrish (owner and founder of Xzacta Shears).    And if you read about me in the “about us “ section, you will recall that I was a hair stylist for 34 years.  I am extremely picky.  I have had at one time or another the best hair cutting  shears you can buy.  This is my personal promise to you….  If I wouldn’t  buy the shears, the shears will not be sold to you.

3.   Our high quality professional hair cutting scissors are currently manufactured by a company in China.  We proudly do not try to hide this!  Please allow me to explain why.  There are now a handful of companies in China that are offering hair cutting scissors that have just absolutely outstanding craftsmanship and metal quality.  What has happened in the last several years is that Chinese manufacturing of quality shears has been going up while Japanese quality has generally and unfortunately gone down.  The same could be said of German scissor quality.  Because of enormous differences in labor cost between these these different  countries, many Japanese scissors are actually manufactured in China.  If it just says “Japan” on the scissor, it really doesn’t mean much.  If you really want a Japanese made shear, make sure it has “made in Japan”,  then you at least have a good chance that it really was.  
     Even at our list price, you will generally have to pay double or more to equal the XZACTA PROFESSIONAL QUALITY HAIR CUTTING  SCISSORS.  Our shears will truly “run with the big boys”.  WE DO NOT AND NEVER WILL SELL JUNK!

4.   TITANIUM SHEARS:   Titanium Scissors coatings are so beautiful, but have absolutely nothing to do with the cutting ability of the shear. The exception to this is when titanium  is infused in the scissor metal. We are addressing coatings here.  In fact, titanium coatings  can hinder cutting performance if not removed from the edge of the blade.  All Xzacta Titanium Scissors are sharpened after the coating so that you will see chrome on the edge.  Most manufacturers do not do this.  All Xzacta Titanium shears have exactly the same quality metal as our chrome shears.  The titanium coating is extremely hard and durable.  So, if you want pretty, go for it, but make sure it says XZACTA on it.
